Test No. 3: When System Is Set, Alarm Does Not Sound When Rear Door Is Unlocked; Or While System Is In Alarming Condition, Doors Are Not Locked

NOTE: Door unlock detection switch is integral part of each door lock assembly. The power door locks are controlled and monitored by the body control ECU. Information about the status of each door is communicated to the theft deterrent ECU by the body control ECU across the multiplex communication bus. Check power door lock system to determine which door is suspect and perform appropriate test. See BODY CONTROL SYSTEMS - AVALON article under COMMUNICATION DEVICES in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
