Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus IS 300 and 2002 Lexus IS 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON. Measure the voltage between terminals 13 (Tc) and (E1 ) of the DLC3. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If there is 10-14 volts, the circuit is OK. Further diagnosis is needed. If the voltage is not as specified, go to the next step.
  2. Check the wiring harness and connector between the body ECU and DLC3, DLC3 and body ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, check and replace the body ECU. See BODY ECU  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If the results are not OK, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
