Cruise Control Main Switch

  1. Precaution.
  2. Separate battery negative terminal.
  3. Place front wheels facing straight ahead.
  4. Remove horn button assy. See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM - HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY. .
  5. Remove steering wheel assy. See STEERING COLUMN - STEERING COLUMN ASSY . (SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021) 82010-01)
  6. Remove steering wheel boss cover low:
    1. Remove the 2 screws and steering wheel damper. See Fig 1.
    2. Remove the 3 screws and steering boss cover lower. See Fig 2.
  7. Remove cruise control main switch assy:
    1. Remove the 2 screws and cruise control main switch assy. See Fig 3.
  8. Center spiral cable.
  9. Install steering wheel assy. See STEERING COLUMN - STEERING COLUMN ASSY .
  10. Steering wheel center point.
  11. Inspect horn button assy. See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM - HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY .
  12. Install horn button assy. See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM - HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY .
  13. Inspect SRS warning light. See AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT CHECK in DIAGNOSTICS in SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINING SYSTEM article.
