Inspection Procedure

NOTE: In case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start from step 2.
  1. Check the back door unlock detection switch using TOYOTA hand-held tester. 

    PREPARATION  : connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.

    CHECK  : check the back door unlock detection switch using DATA LIST.

    1. OK  : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
    2. NG  : Go to next step.
  2. Check back door unlock detection switch. See  BACK DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH CIRCUIT  . 
    1. NG  : Replace the back door lock motor.
    2. OK  : Go to next step.
  3. Check wire harness and connector between back door unlock detection switch and back door ECU  . See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS .
    1. NG  : Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
    2. OK  : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
