Inspection Procedure

  1. Check POWER, ECU-B and ECU-IG fuse  .

    CHECK  : continuity of POWER, ECU-B and ECU-IG fuse.

    OK  : Continuity

    1. NG  : Replace the failure fuse.
    2. OK  : Go to next step.
  2. Check voltage between terminals POWE, SIG, BDR, BECU and GND of back door ECU connector. 

    PREPARATION  : turn ignition switch ON.

    CHECK  : measure voltage between terminals SIG, and GND.

    OK  : Voltage: 10-14 V

    PREPARATION:

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect the back door ECU connector.

    CHECK  : measure voltage between terminals BDR, BECU and GND.

    OK  : Voltage: 10-14V

    1. OK  : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
    2. NG  : Go to next step.
  3. Check wire harness and connector between ECU and body ground  . See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS .
    1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Check and repair wire harness and connector between ECU and battery.
