Inspection Procedure

NOTE: In case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start the inspection from step  1 and in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start from step  2.
  1. Check power window motor using TOYOTA hand-held tester. 

    Preparation  : connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC 3.

    Check  : that the power window motor can operate in an ACTIVE TEST.

    1. OK  : proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
    2. NG  : Go to next step.
  2. Check power window motor.   . See INSPECTION .
    1. NG  : Replace the power window motor.
    2. OK  : Go to step  3.
  3. Check wire harness and connector between power window motor and passenger door ECU. 
    1. NG  : Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
    2. OK  : proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
