Inspection Procedure

  1. Check ECU-IG, PWR No. 2 and ECU-B fuse.  .

    Check  : continuity of ECU-IG, PWR No. 2 and ECU-B fuse.

    OK  : Continuity

    1. NG  : Replace the failure fuse.
    2. OK  : Go to step  2.
  2. Check voltage between terminals BDR, CPUB, SIG and GND of passenger door ECU connector. 

    Preparation  : turn ignition switch ON.

    Check  : measure voltage between terminals SIG, and GND.

    OK  : voltage: 10 - 14 volts

    Preparation:

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect the passenger door ECU connector.

    Check  : measure voltage between terminals BDR, CPUB and GND.

    OK  : voltage: 10 - 14 volts.

    1. OK  : proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
    2. NG  : Go to step  3.
  3. Check wire harness and connector between ECU and body ground. 
    1. NG  : repair or replace wire harness or connector.
    2. OK  : check and repair wire harness and connector between ECU and battery.
