    RESULT:

    RESISTANCE MEASURES

    Result Proceed to
    1 MΩ or higher A
    108 to 132Ω B
    1. B : Go to step   3 .
    2. A : Go to next step.
  2. Check for short circuit in harness and connector between junction connector and DLC3.

    PREPARATION:

Disconnect the bus line connectors from the junction connector.

    CHECK:

Measure the resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of the DLC3.

    OK:

    Resistance: 1 MΩ or higher

    1. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector between junction connector and DLC3 and go to step   3 .
    2. OK : Go to next step.
  3. Measure resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of the steering angle sensor wire harness side connector.

    PREPARATION:

    1. Disconnect the bus line connectors from the junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector.

    CHECK:

Measure the resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of the steering angle sensor wire harness side connector.

    OK:

    Resistance: 108 to 132 Ω

    1. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector between junction connector and steering angle sensor.
    2. OK : Go to next step.
  4. Measure resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of steering angle sensor.

    PREPARATION:

    1. Disconnect the bus line connectors from the junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector.

    CHECK:

Measure the resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of the steering angle sensor.

    OK:

    Resistance: 108 to 132 Ω

    1. NG : Go to step   5 .
    2. OK : If same code is still output after DTC is deleted, check contact condition of each connection. If connections are normal, ECU may be defective.
  5. Measure input voltage of the steering angle sensor.

    PREPARATION:

    1. Remove the steering wheel and column lower cover (see REMOVAL ).
    2. Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector.

    CHECK:

    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Measure the voltage between terminals 1 and 2, and 2 and 3 of the steering angle sensor harness side connector.
