Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY FRONT RH (VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the P14 regulator switch connector.
    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P14-4 - Body ground Power switch ON (IG) 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH) 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY FRONT RH 
    1. Remove the regulator switch.
    2. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the connector when the switch is operated.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Regulator Switch Specified Condition
      1 - 2, 3 - 4 UP Below 1 Ω
      1 - 2, 3 - 5 OFF Below 1 Ω
      1 - 4, 3 - 5 DOWN Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY FRONT RH - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY FRONT RH AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P14 switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the P19 motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P14-1 - P19-1 Below 1 Ω
      P14-3 - P19-2 Below 1 Ω
      P14-1 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      P14-3 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY FRONT RH 
    1. Remove the motor (see WINDSHIELD/WINDOWGLASS/MIRROR ).
    2. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check that the motor smoothly rotates.
    NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.

    OK: 

    TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Terminal No. Specified Condition
    Battery positive (+) --> 1 Motor gear rotates clockwise
    Battery negative (-) --> 2 Motor gear rotates clockwise
    Battery positive (+) --> 2 Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
    Battery negative (-) --> 1 Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY FRONT RH 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY FRONT RH)
