Section 550 (Driver Door Control System - Diagnostics): Pre-Check

  1. DATA LIST 
    NOTE: According to the DATA LIST displayed by the hand-held tester, you can read the value of the switch, sensor, actuator and so on without parts removal. Reading the DATA LIST as a first step of troubleshooting is one of the method to shorten the labor time.
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. According to the display on tester, read the "DATA LIST".

    NOTE: "1" With the jam protection limit switch ON, the function of the jam protection will stop. If the switch does not come ON at the position where the windows are almost fully open, the windows will not fully close as the jam protection operates at the upper potion during the automatic UP performance.
    NOTE: The next data list is possible when the power window operated with "Manual UP" during the Active Test.
    MANUAL UP DURING ACTIVE TEST

    GRASS POS-OPEN To Monitor The Detection Of A Caught Of The P/W / OK Or CAUTION (displayed During The Active Test) OK: No Caught In The Range Between Fully 3/4 Open And Open "2"
    NOTE: "2" In case that the CAUTION is displayed even without applying resistance in each range, there must be a caught somewhere in that range.
  2. ACTIVE TEST 
    NOTE: Performing the ACTIVE TEST using the hand-held tester allows the relay, VSV, actuator and so on to operate without parts removal. Performing the ACTIVE TEST as a first step of troubleshooting is one of the method to shorten the labor time.

    It is possible to display the DATA LIST during the ACTIVE TEST.

    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. According to the display on tester, perform the "ACTIVE TEST".
