Removal & Installation: Replacement

DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (see AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2
REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3 (W/O STEERING PAD SWITCH 4 SPOKE STEERING WHEEL)
REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER (W/ STEERING PAD SWITCH 4 SPOKE STEERING WHEEL) (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3 (3 SPOKE STEERING WHEEL ASSY)
PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (see DUAL-STAGE DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE )
REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSY (See STEERING COLUMN ASSY (TMC MADE) or STEERING COLUMN ASSY (TMMK MADE) ) .
SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021)
REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH (W/ STEERING PAD SWITCH 4 SPOKE STEERING WHEEL) (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSY
1. 4 spoke steering wheel assy:
  Remove the 2 screws and steering wheel damper.

2. 4 Spoke steering wheel assy:
  Remove the 3 screws.
3. 4 spoke steering wheel assy:
  Disengage the 2 claws and remove the steering wheel boss cover LWR.

4. 4 spoke steering wheel assy:
  Remove the 2 screws and cruise control main switch assy.

5. 3 spoke steering wheel assy:
  Remove the 3 screws.

6. 3 spoke steering wheel assy:
  Reverse the steering wheel, remove the 3 screws and cruise control main switch assy.

7. Disengage the wiring pins other than the cruise control main switch assy from the connector, and pull them out.

CENTER SPIRAL CABLE (See SPIRAL CABLE )
INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSY (See STEERING COLUMN ASSY (TMC MADE) or STEERING COLUMN ASSY (TMMK MADE) ) .
INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSY (see DUAL-STAGE DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE )
INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY (If the horn button contact plate of the horn button assembly is deformed, replace the horn button assembly with a new one)(For Horn operation, see HORN SYSTEM ).
INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
