Diagnostic Trouble Codes Check/Clear

  1. DTC CHECK 
    1. Checking DTCs.
      1. Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
      3. Read the DTC from the DOOR warning light on the combination meter.

        HINT:

        • If more than 1 malfunction is detected at the same time, the lowest numbered code will be displayed first.
        • If no code appears, inspect the TC terminal circuit (see TC TERMINAL CIRCUIT ) or combination meter (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
        • As an example, the blinking patterns for the normal system code and codes 11 and 21 are shown in Fig 2 on the left.
      4. Codes are explained in the code table on DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE .
      5. After completing the check, disconnect terminal TC and CG of the DLC3, and turn off the display.
