Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION (DRIVER SIDE) 
    1. Check if the manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.

    OK: Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally. 

    1. NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  2. CHECK LAMP OF POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE SWITCH) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Operate the master switch driver side switch.
    3. Check the blinking pattern of the AUTO lamp as shown in Fig 2 .

    Result: 

    BLINKING PATTERN RESULT

    Blinking Pattern Proceed to
    1 A
    2 or 3 B
    4 C
    1. B: Go to step   4 
    2. C: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 
    3. A: Go to Next Step. 
  3. RESET POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (DRIVER SIDE) (See  INITIALIZATION  ) 
    1. Check if the power window operates normally after resetting.

      OK: Power window operates normally. 

    1. NG: Go to step 4 
    2. OK: END 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the P7 motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard: 

    POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH - MOTOR RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    D8-5 (VCC) - P7-4 (SSRB) Below 1 Ω
    D8-14 (PLS1) - P7-3 (PLS) Below 1 Ω
    D8-17 (PLS2) - P7-5 (PLS2) Below 1 Ω
    D8-2 (SGND) - P7-6 (E) Below 1 Ω
    D8-5 (VCC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    D8-14 (PLS1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    D8-17 (PLS2) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH (DRIVER SIDE)
