Inspection Procedure

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the E5 connector of the ECM.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
CONNECTOR SPECIFICATIONTester connection Clutch Pedal condition Specification D (E5-10) - Body ground Depressed Below 1 V D (E5-10) - Body ground Released 10 to 14 V
- NG : GO TO STEP 2
- OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- INSPECT CLUTCH SWITCH ASSY
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the clutch switch C12 connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
CONNECTOR SPECIFICATIONTester connection Condition /Specification C12-1 - C12-2 Switch pin free (Clutch pedal depressed) 10 kΩ or higher C12-1 - C12-2 Switch pin pushed in (Clutch pedal released) Below 1 Ω
- NG : REPLACE CLUTCH SWITCH ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- OK : Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLUTCH SWITCH ASSY - ECM)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:

- NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (CLUTCH SWITCH ASSY - ECM)
- OK : CHECK AND REPAIR HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (CLUTCH SWITCH ASSY - BATTERY)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
