Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve ASSY (1NZ-FXE): Replacement

  1. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD NO.2 (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  2. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX REAR (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD NO.3 (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE NO.3 (BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL) (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  6. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
    2. Remove the bolt, then remove the camshaft timing oil control valve.

  7. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSY 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring, then install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
    2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring again, then install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.
      1. Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf) 
      NOTE: Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing.
    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  9. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE NO.3 (BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL) (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  10. CHECK FOR ENGINE OIL LEAKS 
  11. INSTALL REAR FLOOR BOARD NO.3 
  12. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX REAR 
  13. INSTALL REAR FLOOR BOARD NO.2 
  14. POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM INITIALIZE (See  INTRODUCTION  )
