Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION (DRIVER SIDE) 
    1. Check that the door glass can be operated manually.
    1. NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See  MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE ON DRIVER SIDE  ) 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK ILLUMINATION OF POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH 
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Operate the AUTO (drive side) switch of the master switch.
    3. Check the blinking pattern of the AUTO light as shown in the illustration.
      1. If pattern (1) is displayed, proceed to A.
      2. If pattern (2) or (3) is displayed, proceed to B.
      3. If the normal pattern is displayed, proceed to C.

    1. B: Go to step   4 
    2. C: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 
    3. A: Go to next step. 
  3. RESET POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (DRIVER SIDE) (See  RESET  ) 
    1. OK: END 
    2. NG: Go to next step. 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MASTER SWITCH - MOTOR) (MASTER SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D9 master switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the P40 motor connector (driver side).

    4. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard:

    5. Check the resistance between the D9 master switch connector and body ground.

      Standard:

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH (DRIVER SIDE)
