Slide Door System: Inspection
- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR MAIN SWITCH
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
Standard:
SATELLITE SWITCH SPECIFICATIONSTerminal No. Condition Specified Condition 4 - 5 Free (ON) Below 1 Ω 4 - 5 Pushed (OFF) Below 1 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the switch
- Apply battery voltage and check the illuminates.
Standard:
MEASUREMENT SPECIFICATIONSMeasurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 2 Illuminates
NOTE: Whether the switch illuminates or not will not affect the function of the LH side.If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb.
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
- INSPECT SATELLITE SWITCH
- Check the resistance of the switch for the LH/RH door.
Standard:
POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH SPECIFICATIONSTerminal No. Condition Specified Condition 1 - 5(LH) Free (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher 4 - 5 (RH) Pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
- Apply battery voltage and check the whether the switch illuminates.
Standard:
BATTERY VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONSMeasurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 8 Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 7 Illuminates

- Check the resistance of the switch for the LH/RH door.
- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH
- Inspect the resistance of the switch for LH/RH.
Standard:
POWER SLIDE DOOR TOUCH SENSOR LH SPECIFICATIONSTerminal No. Condition Specified Condition 1 - 5 Free (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher 1 - 5 Pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the switch

- Check the resistance of the sensor.
Standard:
POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL MOTOR AND CLUTCH LH SPECIFICATIONSSTerminal No. Condition Specified condition 1 - 2 Free Approx. 1 kΩ 1 - 2 Pressed Below 100 Ω
If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
- Check the resistance of the sensor.
- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR TOUCH SENSOR RH
- Check the resistance of the sensor.
Standard:
DOOR CONTROL MOTOR TERMINAL SPECIFICATIONSTerminal No. Condition Specified condition 1-2 Free Approx. 1 Ω 1-2 Pressed Below 100 Ω
If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
- Check the resistance of the sensor.
- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL MOTOR AND CLUTCH LH
- Remove the motor and clutch.
- Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
- Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check the motor operation.
Standard:
PULSE SENSOR TERMINAL SPECIFICATIONSMeasurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 8 Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 7 Open Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 7 Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 8 Closed If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch
- Check the resistance of the terminals.

Standard:
POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL MOTOR AND CLUTCH RH SPECIFICATIONSTerminal No. Specified Condition 2 - 3 4.0 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch.
- Reinstall the motor and clutch with the connector connected.
- Check the pulse of the pulse sensor.
- Using an oscilloscope, check the pulse generated when the door is manually opened and closed.
Standard (Reference):
POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL MOTOR AND CLUTCH RH SPECIFICATIONSTerminal 5 - 9, 9 - 10 Tool setting 10 V/DIV., 10 ms/DIV. Vehicle condition Door moving If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch.
NOTE: The cycle of the pulse changes between approx. 10 to 20 msec. according to the speeds that the slide door is moving.
- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR CONTROL MOTOR AND CLUTCH RH
- Remove the motor and clutch.
- Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
- Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check the motor operation.
Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the motor and clutch
- Check the resistance of terminals.
Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assy.
- Apply battery voltage and inspect operation of the motor.
- INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK RELEASE MOTOR ASSY RH
- Apply battery voltage and inspect operation of the motor.
Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assy.
- Apply battery voltage and inspect operation of the motor.
- INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL SUB-ASSY LH (HANDLE OPERATION DETECT SWITCH)
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
Standard:
If the result is not as specified, replace the control assy.
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
- INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL SUB-ASSY RH (HANDLE OPERATION DETECT SWITCH)
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
Standard:
If the result is not as specified, replace the control sub-assy.
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
- INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL SUB-ASSY LH (CHILD PROTECTION DETECT SWITCH)
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
Standard:
If the result is not as specified, replace the control sub-assy.
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
- INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL SUB-ASSY RH (CHILD PROTECTION DETECT SWITCH)
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
Standard:
If the result is not as specified, replace the control sub-assy.
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
- INSPECT SLIDE DOOR HALF OPEN STOPPER CONTROL ASSY
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
Standard:
If the result is not as specified, replace the control sub-assy.
- Inspect the resistance of the switch.
- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR WARNING BUZZER LH
- Check the resistance of the buzzer.
Standard:
TERMINAL CONDITIONSTerminal No. Specified Condition 1 - 2 Approx.1 kΩ
If the result is not as specified, replace the buzzer.
NOTE:- The circuit that causes the buzzer to sound is built into the slide door ECU, not around the buzzer.
- Directly applying battery voltage to the buzzer does not cause the buzzer to sound.
- Check the resistance of the buzzer.
- INSPECT POWER SLIDE DOOR WARNING BUZZER RH
- Check the resistance of the buzzer.
Standard:
TERMINAL CONDITIONSTerminal No. Specified Condition 1 - 2 Approx.1 kΩ
NOTE:- The circuit that causes the buzzer to sound is built into the slide door ECU, not around the buzzer.
- Directly applying battery voltage to the buzzer does not cause the buzzer to sound.
If the result is not as specified, replace the buzzer.
- Check the resistance of the buzzer.
