Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Check that the power window manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.

      OK: Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally. 

    1. NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ) 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK LAMP OF MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    2. Operate the multiplex network switch assy.
    3. Check the blinking pattern of the lamp as shown in the illustration.
      1. If pattern (1) is displayed, proceed to A.
      2. If pattern (2) or (3) is displayed, proceed to B.
      3. If the normal pattern is displayed, proceed to C.

    1. B: Go to step   4 . 
    2. C: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH ASSY 
    3. A: Go to next step. 
  3. RESET POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) (Refer to the INITIALIZE) (See  INITIALIZATION   ) 
    1. Check if the power window operates normally after resetting.

      OK: Power window operates normally. 

    1. NG: Go to step 4 
    2. OK: END 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Disconnect the H4 and H6 connectors.
    2. Check the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H4-1 - H6-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-2 - H6-6 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-3 - H6-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-4 - H6-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-5 - H6-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-6 - H6-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H4-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H4-3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H4-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H4-5 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H4-6 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)
