Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH 
    1. Remove the outer mirror control switch.
    2. Measure the resistance between the wire harness connectors.

      Vertical and horizontal operation: 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition
      2 - 3 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      2 - 3 UP 100 Ω
      2 - 3 DOWN 250 Ω
      2 - 3 LEFT 470 Ω
      2 - 3 RIGHT 800 Ω

      Left or right side operation: 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition
      1 - 2 L 100 Ω
      1 - 2 R 10 Ωor less

    1. NG: REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B) 
    1. Disconnect the D4 and D7 connectors.
    2. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D4-1 - D7-12 Always Below 1 Ω
      D4-2 - D7-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      D4-3 - D7-11 Always Below 1 Ω
      D4-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D4-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D4-3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   )
