- w/o Memory:INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY
- Select "L" on the left/right adjustment switch: Check the switch resistance.
Standard:
OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY W/O MEMORY INSPECTIONTester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition 4 - 8 UP Below 1 Ω 6 - 7 UP Below 1 Ω 4 - 7 DOWN Below 1 Ω 6 - 8 DOWN Below 1 Ω 5 - 8 LEFT Below 1 Ω 6 - 7 LEFT Below 1 Ω 5 - 7 RIGHT Below 1 Ω 6 - 8 RIGHT Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.
- Select "R" on the left/right adjustment switch: Check the switch resistance.

- Check the mirror switch resistance.
Standard:
OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY (w/MEMORY) INSPECTIONTester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition 2 - 3 OFF 10 kΩ or higher 2 - 3 UP 100 Ω 2 - 3 DOWN 250 Ω 2 - 3 LEFT 470 Ω 2 - 3 RIGHT 800 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.
- Check the left/right adjustment switch resistance.
Standard:
OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY (w/MEMORY) INSPECTIONTester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition 1 - 2 L 100 Ω 1 - 2 R 10 Ω or less
- Check the mirror switch resistance.
- INSPECT THE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH
- Disconnect the 18 connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face.

- INSPECT THE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH
- Disconnect the H8 mirror connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face.
Standard:
OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH INSPECTIONMeasurement Condition Mirror Operation Battery positive (+) --> H8-3 (MV) Turns upward A) Battery negative (-) --> H8-2 (M+) Turns upward A) Battery positive (+) --> H8-2 (M+) Turns downward B) Battery negative (-) --> H8-3 (MV) Turns downward B) Battery positive (+) --> H8-2 (M+) Turns left (c) Battery negative (-) --> H8-1 (MH) Turns left (c) Battery positive (+) --> H8-1 (MH) Turns right (D) Battery negative (-) --> H8-2 (M+) Turns right (D)
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH
- Disconnect the mirror connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror, as shown in the table and illustration.
Standard:
OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH INSPECTIONMeasurement Condition Mirror Operation Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 7 (EC+) Mirror surface changes to dark Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 14 (EC-) Mirror surface changes to dark If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH
- Disconnect the mirror connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror, as shown in the table and illustration.
Standard:
OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH INSPECTIONMeasurement Condition Mirror Operation Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 7 (EC+) Mirror surface changes to darck Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 14 (EC-) Mirror surface changes to dark If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.
