Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK POWER WINDOW LOCK SWITCH 
    1. Turn the window lock switch OFF and operate the master switch passenger side switch. Check that the remote UP/DOWN function operates normally.

    OK: Remote UP/DOWN function operates normally. 

    NG: Go to step 2

    OK: END 

  2. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the passenger side power window manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.

    OK: Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally. 

    NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ) 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the switch when the switch is operated.

    Standard: 

    RESISTANCE CHECK SPECIFIED CONDITION (1 OF 2)

    Window Lock Switch Condition Power Window Switch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition
    OFF UP 1 (E) - 17 (D) 7 (IG) - 15 (U) Below 1 Ω
    OFF OFF 1 (E) - 17 (D) 1 (E) - 15 (U) Below 1 Ω
    OFF DOWN 1 (E) - 15 (U) 7 (IG) - 17 (D) Below 1 Ω
    ON UP 7 (IG) - 15 (U) Below 1 Ω
    ON OFF 15 (U) - 17 (D) Below 1 Ω
    ON DOWN 7 (IG) - 17 (D) Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY - CONVERTIBLE ROOF CONTROL ECU) 
  1. Disconnect the D8 master switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the C18 ECU connector.
  3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard: 

RESISTANCE CHECK SPECIFIED CONDITION (2 OF 2)

Tester Connection Specified Condition
D8-18 (WLSW) - C18-10 (WLSW) Below 1 Ω
D8-18 (WLSW) or C18-10 (WLSW) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

OK: REPLACE CONVERTIBLE ROOF CONTROL ECU
