Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Measure the resistance of the hazard warning switch. Standard:

    TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART (1 OF 3)

    Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
    - OFF Below 1 Ω
    1 - 4 ON Below 1 Ω
    8 - 9 Illumination circuit Below 1 Ω
    1. NG: REPLACE HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: Go To Next Step 

  2. CHECK TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ASSY (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  ) 
    1. NG: REPLACE TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ASSY 

    OK: Go To Next Step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TVIP ECU - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER) 
    1. Disconnect the TVIP ECU and turn signal flasher connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
    TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART (2 OF 3)

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    HAZD (T3-8) - HAZ (T2-8) Below 1 Ω
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (HAZARD WARNING SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the H7 hazard warning switch connector.

    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
    TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART (3 OF 3)

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    H7-1 -Body ground Below 1 Ω
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK Go To Next Step 

    CHECK AND REPLACE TVIP ECU (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  )
