Throttle Body ASSY (1ZZ-FE (Ff)): Replacement

DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See ENGINE COOLANT (2ZZ-GE) )
REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER NO.2
1. Remove the 2 nuts and 2 clips, then remove the cylinder head cover No. 2.

REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSY
1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
2. Disconnect the VSV connector.
3. Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.

4. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 1 from the VSV.
5. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 3 from the VSV.

6. Disconnect the ventilation hose No. 1 from the cylinder head cover.

7. Loosen the hose clamp bolt and air cleaner hose No. 1.

8. Remove the air cleaner cap together with the air cleaner hose.

REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSY
1. Disconnect the throttle control motor connector.

2. Disconnect the water bypass hose from the throttle body.
3. Disconnect the water bypass hose No. 2 from the throttle body.

4. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, then remove the throttle body.

5. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSY
1. Install a new gasket onto the intake manifold.

2. Install the throttle body with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
  Torque: 9.0 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 80 in..lbf)

3. Connect the water bypass hose No. 2 to the throttle body.
4. Connect the water bypass hose to the throttle body.

5. Connect the throttle control motor connector.

INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSY
1. Install the air cleaner cap together with the air cleaner hose.

2. Tighten the hose clamp bolt, then connect the air cleaner hose.
  Torque: 2.0 N.m (20 kgf.cm, 18 in..lbf)

3. Connect the ventilation hose No. 1 to the cylinder head cover.

4. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 3 to the VSV.
5. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose No. 1 to the VSV.

6. Install the 2 wire harness clamps.
7. Connect the VSV connector.
8. Connect the mass air flow meter connector.

CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in..lbf)
ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See ENGINE COOLANT (1ZZ-FE) )
CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE (See COOLING SYSTEM (1ZZ-FE) )

INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER NO.2
1. Install the cylinder head cover No. 2 with the 2 nuts and 2 clips.
  Torque: 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in..lbf)
