Inspection Procedure
- CHECK SMART BACK DOOR UNLOCK FUNCTION OPERATES
- Check that the smart back door unlock function operates normally.
OK: Smart back door unlock function operates normally.
- NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Check that the smart back door unlock function operates normally.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (LUGGAGE ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (INNER) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the L6 connector.
- Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition L6-1 (+B) - Body ground 10 to 14V L6-5 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST (LUGGAGE ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (INNER))
- Connect the hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch from OFF to ON (IG) and press the hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the item below in the ACTIVE TEST, and then check that the oscillator (inner) operates.
Smart key ECU:
ACTIVE TEST (SMART KEY ECU)Item Test Details Diagnostic Note IN BDR TRNSMTTR Back door inner transmitter ON/OFF OK: ON (transmitter is in luggage room) appears on the screen.
- NG: CHECK WIRE HARNESS
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
REPLACE LUGGAGE ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (INNER)
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SMART KEY ECU ASSY - LUGGAGE ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (INNER))
- Disconnect the S11 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the L6 oscillator connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition S11-38 (CLG7) - L6-3 (CLG) Below 1 Ω S11-38 (CLG7) or L6-3 (CLG)-Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
