Engine Control Module (ECM): Inspection
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT
- Remove the 2 screws and glove compartment door.
- Remove the 3 screws and lower No.2 finish panel.
- REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
- REMOVE ECM
- Disconnect the 5 connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts and ECM.
- INSPECT ECM (See TERMINALS OF ECM )
- REINSTALL ECM
- Install the ECM with the 2 bolts.
- Connect the 5 connectors.
- INSTALL HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
- INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT
- Install the lower No.2 finish panel with 3 screws.
- Install the glove compartment door with the 2 screws.
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION (See INITIALIZATION
)
Some system need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal.
