- FAIL-SAFE CHART
- If the following conditions are detected while the cruise control is in operation, the system clears the stored vehicle speed in the ECM and cancels the cruise control operation.FAIL-SAFE
Vehicle Condition Auto Cancel Condition Re-operation Condition The CRUISE main indicator light blinks. - There is an open or short in the stop light switch circuit.
- There is a problem with the vehicle speed signal.
- There is a problem with the throttle position sensor and motor.
Push the ON-OFF button of the cruise control main switch on again. The CRUISE main indicator light blinks. - There is a problem with the input circuit of the stop light switch circuit.
- There is a problem with the cancel circuit.
- Turn the ON-OFF button of the cruise control main switch on again.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
The CRUISE main indicator light goes off. - Vehicle speed is lower than the low speed limit (approx. 40 km/h (approx. 25 mph)) while running with the cruise control on.
- Vehicle speed is lower than the stored speed by 16 km/h (approx. 9.9 mph) or more.
Turn the ON-OFF button of the cruise control main switch on again when the driving vehicle speed is over the low speed limit.
- If the following conditions are detected while the cruise control is in operation, the system clears the stored vehicle speed in the ECM and cancels the cruise control operation.
