Engine Control System: ECM: Inspection

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE GROVE COMPARTMENT
1. Remove the 2 screws and glove compartment door.
2. Remove the 3 screws and lower No.2 finish panel.
REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
REMOVE ECM
1. Disconnect the 5 connectors.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and ECM.
INSPECT ECM
See TERMINALS OF ECM
REINSTALL ECM
1. Install the ECM with the 2 bolts.
2. Connect the 5 connectors.
INSTALL HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT
1. Install the lower No.2 finish panel with 3 screws.
2. Install the glove compartment door with the 2 screws.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE (-) BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization. (See INITIALIZATION )
  HINT:
  
  Some system need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal.
