Manual Up / Down and Auto Down Function does not Operate on Driver Side: Wiring Diagram
- INSPECT FUSE (P/W)
- Remove the fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
- Check the resistance.
Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω
OK: REPLACE FUSE
NG: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TERMINAL BW)
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between the terminal of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.
Standard voltage
TERMINAL BWTerminal No. Condition Specified Condition D9-7 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (P/W FUSE - MASTER SWITCH)
OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH
- Remove the master switch.
- Check the resistance between the terminals of the master switch when the AUTO (driver side) switch is operated, as shown in POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH
.
Standard resistance
POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCHTerminal No. AUTO Switch Specified Condition 1 - 9, 4 - 7 UP Below 1 Ω 1 - 4 - 9 OFF 1 - 4, 7 - 9 DOWN
NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH
OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS ((MASTER SWITCH - MOTOR) (MASTER SWITCH - BODY GROUND))
- Disconnect the D9 master switch connector.
- Disconnect the P40 motor connector.
- Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance
MASTER SWITCH - MOTORTerminal No. Specified Condition D9-9 (DD) - P40-1 (DOWN) Below 1 Ω D9-4 (DU) - P40-2 (UP) - Check the resistance between the D9 master switch connector and body ground.
Standard resistance
MASTER SWITCH - BODY GROUNDTerminal No. Specified Condition D9-9 (DD) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher D9-4 (DU) - Body ground - Reference:
Check operation of the power window motor (driver side).
- Remove the motor.
- Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
- Check that the motor smoothly rotates.NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
