Manual Up / Down and Auto Down Function does not Operate on Passenger Side Only: Wiring Diagram

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the P37 regulator switch connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Check the voltage between the terminal 4 of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.

      Standard voltage 

      POWER SOURCE

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      P37-4 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REGULATOR SWITCH - RELAY) 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH 
    1. Remove the regulator switch.
    2. Check the resistance between the switch terminals when the switch is operated, as shown in FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH  .

      Standard resistance 

      FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH

      Terminal No. Regulator Switch Specified Condition
      1 - 2, 3 - 4 UP Below 1 Ω
      1 - 2, 3 - 5 OFF
      1 - 4, 3 - 5 DOWN

    NG: REPLACE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REGULATOR SWITCH - MOTOR) (REGULATOR SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P41 motor connector.
    2. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      REGULATOR SWITCH - MOTOR

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P37-1 (D) - P41-1 Below 1 Ω
      P37-3 (U) - P41-2
    3. Check the resistance between the P37 regulator switch connector and body ground.

      Standard resistance 

      REGULATOR SWITCH - BODY GROUND

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P37-1 (D) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      P37-3 (U) - Body ground

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Remove the motor.
    2. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check that the motor smoothly rotates.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.

      Standard 

      POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) -> 1
      Battery negative (-) -> 2
      Motor gear rotates clockwise
      Battery positive (+) -> 2
      Battery negative (-) -> 1
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE) 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - REGULATOR SWITCH)
