Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
The vehicle is equipped with an SRS (Supplemental Restraint System), such as airbags. Before servicing (including removal or installation of parts), be sure to read the precautionary notice for the Supplemental Restraint System (See
AIRBAG SYSTEM
).
- INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER
- Disconnect the radio receiver E15 connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance

NG: Go to step 2 below
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the steering pad switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK: Go to Next Step
- INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE
- Disconnect the spiral cable connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance

OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE - RADIO RECEIVER)
NG: REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE
