Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER) 
    1. Disconnect the stereo component amplifier S15 and S16 connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      BATTERY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      GND2 (S15-16) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      GND (S15-15) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the values in the table below.

    Standard voltage 

    BATTERY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER VOLTAGE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    B+ (S15-1) - GND (S15-15) Always 10 to 14 V
    B2+ (S15-10) - GND (S15-15) Always 10 to 14 V
    ACC (S16-12) - GND (S15-15) Ignition SW ACC 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
