Inspection Procedure
- CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE) (POWER SOURCE)
- Disconnect the G6 regulator switch connector.
- Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage
STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONSTester Connection Condition Specified Condition G6-4 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V - Reconnect the switch connector.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)
- Remove the power window regulator switch.
- Check the resistance.
Standard resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONSTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1-2
3-4UP Below 1 Ω 1-2
3-5OFF Below 1 Ω 1-4
3-5DOWN Below 1 Ω - Reinstall the switch.
NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SWITCH (PASSENGER SIDE) - MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE))
- Disconnect the G6 power window regulator switch connector.
- Disconnect the G3 power window regulator motor connector.
- Check the resistance.
Standard resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONSTester Connection Specified Condition G6-3 - G3-2 Below 1 Ω G6-1 - G3-1 Below 1 Ω G6-3 or G3-2 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher G6-1 or G3-1 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the motor connector.
- Reconnect the switch connector.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)
- Remove the power window regulator motor.
- Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
- Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.
OK:
MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONMeasurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 1
Battery negative (-) → 2Motor gear rotates clockwise Battery positive (+) → 2
Battery negative (-) → 1Motor gear rotates counterclockwise - Reinstall the motor.
NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)
OK: Go TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - SWITCH (PASSENGER SIDE))
- Disconnect the H5 power window regulator master switch connector.
- Disconnect the G6 power window regulator switch connector.
- Check the resistance.
Standard resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONSTester Connection Specified Condition H5-8 (PU) - G6-5 Below 1 Ω H5-10 (PD) - G6-2 Below 1 Ω H5-8 (PU) or G6-5 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher H5-10 (PD) or G6-2 - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the switch connector.
- Reconnect the master switch connector.

- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SWITCH)
- Remove the power window regulator master switch.
- Check the resistance.
