Inspection Procedure

CHECK TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU (S5V1, S5V2 VOLTAGE)
1. Remove the ECU with the connectors still connected.
2. Measure the voltage between terminals S5V1 and SG1, or S5V2 and SG2 of the T8 ECU connector.
  Standard voltage:
  
  4.5 to 5.5 V
NG: Go to step 3

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MOTOR - ECU)
1. Check for open circuit in the harness and connector between terminals S5V1 and SG1, or S5V2 and SG2 of the ECU connector.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE MOTOR
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MOTOR - ECU)
1. Check for short circuit in the harness between terminals S5V1 and SG1, or S5V2 and SG2 of the ECU connector.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
