Inspection Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Specified Condition 4 - Body ground Below 1 Ω
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK : Go to Next Step
- INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTSwitch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition Press continuously transmission control switch 2 - 4 Below 1 Ω Release transmission control switch ↑ 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPLACE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH
OK : Go to Next Step
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - ECM)
- Connect the transmission control switch connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTSwitch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition Press continuously transmission control switch E5-29 (ODMS) - Body ground Below 1 Ω Release transmission control switch ↑ 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
