DTC P2A00 A/F Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1): Description

HINT:

Sensor 1 refers to the sensor mounted in front of the Three-Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) and located near the engine assembly.

DTC DETECTION CONDITION AND TROUBLE AREA

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
P2A00 Air-Fuel Ratio (A/F) sensor circuit slow response: Under conditions (a), (b) and (c), A/F sensor output voltage changing value below regular changing value in comparison with fuel trim changing value (2 trip detection logic):
  1. Warm engine
  2. Driving at engine speed of between 1,400 rpm and 3,200 rpm
  3. Vehicle speed between 37.5 mph and 75 mph (60 km/hand 120km/h)
  • Open or short in A/F sensor (sensor 1) circuit
  • A/F sensor (sensor 1)
  • A/F sensor heater (sensor 1)
  • EFI relay
  • A/F sensor heater and EFI relay circuits
  • Air induction system
  • Fuel pressure
  • Injector
  • PCV valve and hose
  • PCV hose connection
  • ECM
