How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
NEXT: Go to next step
- CRANK ENGINE FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK FOR DTC*
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Recheck for DTCs. Try to duplicate the DTC (SFI system and engine immobiliser system) by reproducing the symptoms indicated by the DTC.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC is not output A SFI system DTC is output (for 1GR-FE) B SFI system DTC is output (for 2TR-FE) C Engine immobiliser system DTC is output D B → Go to SFI SYSTEM. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
