Back Door Entry Unlock Function does not Operate: Procedure

- CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION
- When the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly is operated, check that the doors unlock and lock according to the switch operation. Refer to OPERATION CHECK

- INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (UNLOCK SWITCH)
- Remove the back door opener switch. Refer to DISASSEMBLY .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU)
- Disconnect the back door opener switch connector.
- Disconnect the F79 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (UL) - F79-22 (TSW5) Always Below 1 Ω 2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω 1 (UL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

- Disconnect the W11 switch connector.
- Disconnect the W10 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (UNLOCK SWITCH). Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU (BACK DOOR P/W). Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- REPLACE BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
