Room Oscillator does not Recognize Key: Procedure

  1. CHECK DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER (OPERATION) 
    1. Temporarily replace the door control transmitter with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Check that the wireless door lock and unlock functions operate normally.

      OK

      Wireless door lock and unlock functions operate normally.

    NG → END (DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER IS DEFECTIVE) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR) 
    1. Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the indoor electrical key oscillator (front, rear) operates.
      SMART KEY

      Fr-Seat Inside Transmitter Indoor electrical key oscillator (front) ON or OFF -
      Inside Trunk/Backdoor Transmitter Indoor electrical key oscillator (rear) ON or OFF -

      OK

      When key is brought close to indoor electrical key oscillator, oscillator is turned OFF and indicator on key illuminates.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   5 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR - CERTIFICATION ECU)

    1. Disconnect the L25*1 and K25*2 oscillator connectors.
    2. Disconnect the E84 ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      HINT: 

      *1: for Front

      *2: for Rear

      Standard resistance

      for Front 

      for Rear 

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      L25-1 (CLG3) - E84-11 (CLG5) Below 1 Ω
      L25-3 (CLGB) - E84-12 (CG5B)
      L25-1 (CLG3) or E84-11 (CLG5) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      L25-3 (CLGB) or E84-12 (CG5B) - Body ground
      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      K25-1 (CLG6) - E84-15 (CLG7) Below 1 Ω
      K25-3 (CLGB) - E84-16 (CG7B)
      K25-1 (CLG6) or E84-15 (CLG7) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      K25-3 (CLGB) or E84-16 (CG7B) - Body ground

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (OPERATION) 
    1. Carry the key into the vehicle.
    2. Temporarily replace the indoor electrical key oscillator with a new or normally functioning one.
    3. Depress the brake pedal and check that the engine switch indicator illuminates in green.

      OK

      Engine switch indicator illuminates in green.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK → END (INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR IS DEFECTIVE) 

  5. REPLACE ECU AGGREGATION BOX (CERTIFICATION ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL
