How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

• Use these procedures to troubleshoot the LIN communication system.
• *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

   NEXT: Go to next step 

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

   Standard voltage

   11 to 14 V

   If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

   NEXT: Go to next step 

3. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
   1. Using the Techstream, inspect the CAN communication function to make sure that there are no malfunctions in the communication system. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      No DTCs are output	A
      DTCs are output	B

      B → Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM 

      A: Go to next step 

4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
   1. Using the Techstream, inspect the LIN communication function to make sure that there are no malfunctions in the communication system. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      DTCs are output	B

      B → Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

5. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
   1. Refer to the Problem Symptoms Table. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

6. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING*

   2. Terminals of ECU. Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU

7. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE
