Power Window Master Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Jam Protection Function) 
    1. Check the resistance between the terminals of the switch when the switch is operated.

      Standard: AUTO (driver side) switch 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Window Lock Switch Power Window Switch Terminal No. Specified Condition
      - UP 1 - 9, 4 - 7 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 1 - 4 - 9
      DOWN 1 - 4, 7 - 9

      Passenger side switch 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Window Lock Switch Power Window Switch Terminal No. Specified Condition
      OFF (Normal) UP 1 - 15, 6 - 13 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 1 - 13 - 15
      DOWN 1 - 13, 6 - 15
      ON (Lock) UP 6 - 13 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 13 - 15
      DOWN 6 - 15

      Rear LH switch 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Window Lock Switch Power Window Switch Terminal No. Specified Condition
      OFF (Normal) UP 1 - 10, 6 - 12 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 1 - 10 - 12
      DOWN 1 - 12, 6 - 10
      ON (Lock) UP 6 - 12 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 10 - 12
      DOWN 6 - 10

      Rear RH switch 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Window Lock Switch Power Window Switch Terminal No. Specified Condition
      OFF (Normal) UP 1 - 16, 6 - 18 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 1 - 16 - 18
      DOWN 1 - 18, 6 - 16
      ON (Lock) UP 6 - 18 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 16 - 18
      DOWN 6 - 16

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Jam Protection Function) 
    1. Check the resistance between the terminals of the switch when the switch is operated.

      Standard: AUTO (driver side) switch

      Passenger side switch

      OFF (Normal) UP 1 - 15, 6 - 18 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 1 - 15 - 18
      DOWN 1 - 18, 6 - 15
      ON (Lock) UP 6 - 18 Below 1 Ω
      OFF 15 - 18
      DOWN 6 - 15

      Rear LH switch

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
