- DIAGNOSIS
- If the skid control ECU detects a malfunction, the ABS, BRAKE warning lights and the VSC OFF, SLIP, downhill assist control indicator lights will come on to warn the driver.
The table below indicates which lights will come on when there is a malfunction in a particular function.

- The DTCs are simultaneously stored in the memory. The DTCs can be read by connecting the SST between terminals TC and CG of the DLC3 and observing the blinking of the ABS warning light and VSC OFF indicator light, or by connecting Techstream.
- This system has a signal check function (test mode). The DTC can be read by connecting the Techstream and observing the blinking of the ABS warning light and VSC OFF indicator light.
- If the skid control ECU detects a malfunction, the ABS, BRAKE warning lights and the VSC OFF, SLIP, downhill assist control indicator lights will come on to warn the driver.
- WARNING LIGHT AND INDICATOR LIGHT BULB CHECK
- Release the parking brake lever.NOTE: When releasing the parking brake, set the chocks to hold the vehicle for safety.
HINT:
When the parking brake is applied or the level of the brake fluid is low, the BRAKE warning light comes on.
- Check that the ABS warning light, VSC OFF indicator light, BRAKE warning light, downhill assist control indicator light, SLIP indicator light and AUTO LSD indicator light come on when the ignition switch is turned on, and go off in about 3 seconds.
HINT:
If the lights do not illuminate, confirm whether the bulbs have burned out, and also check the wire harness between the skid control ECU and the combination meter.
If the light remains on, troubleshoot the affected light circuit by proceeding to the procedure indicated below.

- Release the parking brake lever.
