Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect navigation receiver assembly connector E6 and television display assembly connector Q13.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE TABLE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E6-1 (W+) - Q13-11 (NTS1) Always Below 1 Ω
      E6-4 (W-) - Q13-10 (SG3) Always Below 1 Ω
      E6-1 (W+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E6-4 (W-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect television display assembly connector Q13.
    2. Measure the waveform according to the table below.

      OK 

      WAVEFORM REFERENCE TABLE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q13-11 (NTS1) - Body ground DVD display is ON A waveform synchronized with display signals is output

      HINT:

      The waveform pattern may differ from that shown below due to differences in the oscilloscope setting. A normal television display assembly operating condition can be determined if any waveform is output.

    3. Oscilloscope waveform
      1. Terminal: Q13-11 (NTS1) - Body ground

        Setting: 200 mV/DIV., 10 μs/DIV.

        Condition: DVD display is ON.

    NG: REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
