VVT Sensor: Inspection
- INSPECT VVT SENSOR
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 -2 Cold 835 to 1400 Ω Hot 1060 to 1645 Ω HINT:
- "Cold" and "Hot" refer to the temperature of the coils themselves.
- "Cold" is from -10°C (14°F) to 50°C (122°F) and "Hot" is from 50°C (122°F) to 100°C (212°F).
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
