Inspection Procedure

1. Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   4 - Body ground	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to Next Step 

1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Switch Condition	Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   Press continuously transmission control switch	2-4	Below 1 Ω.
   Release transmission control switch	↑	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPLACE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH 

OK: Go to Next Step 

1. Connect the transmission control switch connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.

3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Switch Condition	Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   Press continuously transmission control switch	E5-29 (ODMS) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω
   Release transmission control switch	↑	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
