DTC B1272: Power Seat ECU Communication Stop: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SEAT ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P13 and P14 ECU connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P13-8 (SYSB) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      P14-5 (+B) - Body ground 10 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P14-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE 
    1. Disconnect the P13 and G1 ECU connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P13-1 (MPX1) - G1-8 (MPX1) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → REPLACE POWER SEAT ECU
