Rear Combination Light Assembly: Disassembly: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE TAIL AND STOP LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the tail and stop light bulb and rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and disconnect them as a unit.

    2. Remove the tail and stop light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.
  2. REMOVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the rear turn signal light bulb and rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and disconnect them as a unit.

    2. Remove the rear turn signal light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.
  3. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS GASKET 
    1. Remove the rear combination light lens gasket.

      NOTE:
      • Be sure to remove all the traces of the old gasket from the body.
      • Do not reuse the removed gasket. Be sure to install a new rear combination light lens gasket to prevent water ingress.
  4. REMOVE SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB 
    1. Disconnect the side marker light bulb and rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the side marker light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.
  5. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector and remove the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the rear bumper upper retainer.
  7. REMOVE REAR LIGHT GASKET 
    1. Remove the rear light gasket.

      NOTE:
      • Be sure to remove all the traces of the old gasket from the body.
      • Do not reuse the removed gasket. Be sure to install a new rear light gasket to prevent water ingress.
  8. REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the back-up light bulb and rear light socket and wire in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and disconnect them as a unit.

    2. Remove the back-up light bulb from the rear light socket and wire.
  9. REMOVE REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the connector and remove the rear light socket and wire.
