Disassembly (To 12/2010): Disassembly

REMOVE FRONT WHEEL BEARING DUST DEFLECTOR NO. 1 LH
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the front wheel bearing dust deflector No. 1 LH.

REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB LH HOLE SNAP RING
1. Using snap ring pliers, remove the front axle hub LH hole snap ring.

REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
1. Using SST, remove the front axle hub sub-assembly LH.

2. Using SST and a press, remove the bearing inner race (outside) from the front axle hub sub-assembly LH.

REMOVE DISC BRAKE DUST COVER FRONT LH
1. Using a torx wrench (T30), remove the 4 bolts and disc brake dust cover front LH.
REMOVE LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY FRONT LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 9
REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB LH BEARING
1. Place the bearing inner race (outside) on the front axle hub LH bearing.
2. Using SST and a press, press the front axle hub LH bearing until it comes into contact with the SST.

3. Using a wrench to make the steering knuckle LH horizontal, fix it to the V block, as shown in the illustration.

  NOTE:
  Be sure steering knuckle is horizontally positioned.
4. Using SST and a press, remove the front axle hub LH bearing.
