Installation (From 12/2010): Installation

  1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the headlight dimmer switch assembly with the claw as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Make sure that the claw is completely engaged.

    2. Install the headlight dimmer switch assembly with the clamp.

    3. Connect the connector.
  2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER LWR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  5. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 14
  7. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  8. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  9. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  10. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  11. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
  12. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY 
  13. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    (. Refer to PRECAUTION )

  14. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal (. Refer to INITIALIZATION ).


  1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the headlight dimmer switch assembly with the claw as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Make sure that the claw is completely engaged.

    2. Install the headlight dimmer switch assembly with the clamp.

    3. Connect the connector.

  3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER LWR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  5. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 14
  7. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  8. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  9. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  10. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  11. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
  12. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY 
  13. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
