AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 1ZZ-FE):

COMPONENTS






INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH





(a) Install the compressor and magnetic clutch with the 3 bolts.
(b) Temporarily tighten bolt A.

HINT: Do not over tighten the bolt until the compressor no longer moves.

(c) Push down on the rear side of the compressor and fully tighten bolt B, bolt C and bolt A in order.
Torque: 24.5 Nm (250 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)
(d) Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to the new O-ring and fit surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL8 or equivalent
(c) Install an O-ring to the discharge hose sub-assembly.





(d) Install the discharge hose sub-assembly to the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
3. INSTALL SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to the new O-ring and fit surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL8 or equivalent
(c) Install an O-ring to the cooler refrigerant suction hose No. 1.





(d) Install the cooler refrigerant suction hose No. 1 to the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
4. CHARGE REFRIGERANT (Service and Repair)

5. WARM UP ENGINE
6. INSPECT LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT (Service and Repair)
