Inspection Procedure
HINT:
- If DTCs related to different systems that have terminal E2 as the ground terminal are output simultaneously, terminal E2 may have an open circuit.
- Read freeze frame data using Techstream. Freeze frame data records the engine conditions when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was running or stopped, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
- INSPECT BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the B29 battery current sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance of the battery current sensor.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Specified Condition 2 (VC5) - 4 (E2) 3 to 10 kΩ 2 (VC5) - 3 (IB) Below 0.5 kΩ 3 (IB) - 4 (E2) 3 to 10 kΩ HINT:

NG: REPLACE BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR ASSEMBLY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR - ECM)

- Disconnect the B29 battery current sensor connector.
- Disconnect the B30 ECM connectors.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance

OK: REPLACE ECM
